Social Activities for students Someone writing

Student events and activities are an important part of campus life. As an ANU College student, you can join a wide variety of clubs and societies, and you will have access to many of the University’s facilities.

University and college life can be challenging, and taking time out from your studies can help you to manage the demands of higher education in a foreign country. To help you find a balance, ANU College offers a wide variety of sightseeing, sporting, cultural and social events throughout the year.

Our regular social activities can enrich your studies and enhance your overall experience in Australia. They are also a good opportunity to try something new, meet other students, and become part of the wider ANU community.

ANU College Social Club

Most ANUC events are organised by student members of the ANU College Social Club. These events and activities are designed to help you get to know your classmates and teachers, including those from other programs.

ANUC events and social activities include:

  • BBQs on campus
  • Themed activities (eg. Loud Shirt Day)
  • Sports, such as: indoor soccer, basketball, ten-pin bowling, golf, badminton and table tennis.

ANU events

The ANU campus has a regular program of lectures, forums and public debates. You can attend inspiring talks from a range of influential speakers, such as authors, photographers, philosophers and policy makers. You can also attend film screenings, exhibitions and concerts on and around campus.
