ASSESSMENT
Foundation units involve ongoing assessment and end-of-semester examinations (25% - 50% weighting). Foundation Mathematics units (Algebra, Calculus, Statistics and Trigonometry) have an examination weighting of at least 70%. Students undertaking ANU undergraduate subjects* sit for university examinations.
CORE & ELECTIVE UNITS
Core units differ depending on the student’s intended degree. Core units have to be relevant to the student’s intended degree. Elective units can be any units that students wish to undertake (Subject to availability).
Please note that some units are a pre-requisite for study at the ANU. For further information, refer to the ANU Entry Requirements section. Not all units are offered each semester.
ANU COLLEGE FOUNDATION STUDIES ORIENTATION DAY
Registration at ANU College is between 9:30am – 9:45am on the Start Date outlined in the Offer of Admission letter.
At 9.45am students will be escorted from ANU College to a lecture theatre at the ANU. The Orientation session commences at 10:00am and is expected to last until 12:30pm. The afternoon is available for students to become more familiar with the ANU campus and its facilities.
